Nairobi City Tour

Nairobi National Park

Visit the Nairobi National Park only a few kilometers from the city center a short budget travel safari. Have a chance to spot at least all of the big five, only the elephant is absent. Gazzeted in 1946 , the park features 46 squire miles of pristine savanna and yet is only six miles from city centre .Bounded by Hippo pool here there are two animal orphanages Inclusive  Daphne Sheldrick's Home for orphaned Elephants and Rhinos. Bomas of Kenya

The short safari tour take place daily in the afternoon .Leaving your Hotel /Residential area in the afternoon Enjoy the rich traditional music accompanied by dance at this cultural center, then take a guided tour of the different bomas The word Bomas is a Swahili word meaning (Homestead) .You will have a chance to sample the true taste of the Kenyan Culture at least more than 14 tribes of the Kenya tribes are re-presented at one enclosure. This presents the un-detached diversified Kenyan culture.

We drive to Bomas of Kenya, a cultural centre twenty minutes from the city centre. The centre is well known for talented groups of dancers who display traditional dances as performed over the centuries by various Kenya tribes. We also inspect several traditional huts showing the types of dwellings used by various Kenya tribes over the centuries.

Bomas is a Swahili word for villages, this centre was created to provide a one stop point where all traditional dances of the diverse cultural groups and other parts of Africa are performed. You will have a chance to see African homesteads in their original indigenous set up reflecting a cross board of Kenya’s different cultures, customs and traditions. The greatest experience however, is during the afternoons featuring traditional music, dancing and songs performed in a splendid arena.

 

The Carnivore Experience

Lunch or dinner at The Carnivore Restaurant, considered "Africa's greatest Eating Experience". The Restaurant serves every type of barbecue meat imaginable, including variety choices of wild game. Have a chance to taste the African "Punch" cocktail of drinks popularly braded as "Dawa" The garnish of music and entertainment gives you a haven serene environment.

 

Carnivore Hotel

Nairobi has numerous restaurants offering a variety of exotic and African cuisines. Carnivore is unique for its succulent barbecue dishes and steaks. This is the only place you can have a variety of game meat served in one meal. A part from beef, pork and other traditional meats, you will have the opportunity to taste other game meat including Giraffe, Zebra and Crocodile, delicious side dishes and exceptional array of sauces will complement your dinner. Carnivore houses Nairobi’s famous Simba Saloon nightclub offering great snacks and pulsating rhythms of a combination of African music to ensure an exiting evening out. Few if any, have resisted the temptation to go back to Carnivore, we strongly recommend dinner or lunch here.

 

Karen Blixen Museum & Giraffe Centre

The budget travel short safari tour takes you to the Karen Blixen Museum situated at the foot of the Ngong Hills. The Museum was originally the home of Karen Blixen of the famous Out of Africa. This is combined with a visit to the Giraffe Center, an educational centre and part of African Fund for Endangered Wildlife conservations. The park has a small herd of Rothschild's Giraffe which are endangered species and you will get a chance to feed them presents are warthogs and Variety of bird life. Return back to the city/Hotel.

Day Trip to Lake Nakuru National Park

Depart Nairobi for a short safari in the morning and drive to the floor of the Great Rift Valley (Gregory rift valley ) stopping to marvel at the views of the escarpment along the way at View point). Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park for mid-morning game drive. Proceed for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge/Lion Hill Lodge Another short game drive as you get out of the park with a visit at Lake Naivasha Enroute to Nairobi. Lake Nakuru is a serene have of Birdlife .The park is most spectacular wildlife sights, that of brilliant pink flamingos as far as the eye can see.
